We are delighted to unveil our new facility, named Resource HQ, to house full-scale production of our AI-powered sorting system range.
Founded in September 2019, Recycleye’s growth over the past 5 years meant our existing facility in Waterloo was over capacity for delivering customer orders of Recycleye QualiBot® and executing thorough demonstration tests of the new Recycleye QuantiSort® optical sorter range.
Having expanded into new geographies this past year and entered new material markets, namely the WEEE and C&D sectors, our operations required a new factory space to accommodate MRF simulation tests and larger scale manufacturing.
Thus, we invested in a 17,400 square foot site in Stratford, East London, and renovated the building make suitable for manufacturing machines that handle DMR, WEEE and C&D materials. This marks a milestone in production capacity for us, as the site is more than 7 times bigger than Recycleye’s former production facility.
Resource HQ includes:
- Test Centre – simulates real MRF conditions, enabling our clients to benchmark the performance of Recycleye machines on their own material.
- Manufacturing Halls – allow us to build units at an elevated production scale.
- R&D facilities and offices – facilitate our teams to continue developing the sorting technologies of tomorrow.
Having moved our team of engineers and commercial managers to Resource HQ in May 2024, Victor Dewulf, CEO of Recycleye, comments on the impact of the relocation:
Launching Resource HQ marks the next step in delivering on our vision to make a meaningful contribution to the world’s recycling rate. It has already sparked increased collaboration within our teams and will facilitate limitless application tests for material recyclers around Europe on our machines. We look forward to welcoming more customers and partners to our new home soon.
